adobe q time updater still not working

Adobe, Q-Time updater still not working...

Has anyone ben able to get Adobe's CS2 or QT's updater to work. If so, then how? THX Frank

I updated Adobe Reader, no issues, haven't tried QT though. Depending on version QT you are using, you might have issues. I noticed after updating to Itunes 6.0.4 with Quicktime, they finally support AERO Glass. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Andre do you have CS2 installed? If yes, then try and run the Adobe Updater. THX Frank

Are you aware that the downloaded CS2 updater only extracts files, by default to C:\Program Files\PSCS2Updater, and you must then find and run C:\Program Files\PSCS2Updater\Updater\setup.exe?

Do you have CS2 installed? If yes, then you know that your statement is

not true. But that's not the problem. The problem is when you check for updates you get the "no connection..." message. IE7 is the problem as it also disables Adobe updater on XP when IE7 B2 is installed. Frank

Yes, I get that error since like build 5342, I reported it. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Surely someone has a work around? Frank

I have CS2 installed and have had to assist several photographers who have downloaded and run the CS2 updater and been puzzled as to why their version of CS2 was not updated.
There are two ways to get the update: using Adobe Updater and downloading the update package from Adobe.
I can't speak for what the Adobe Updater may or may not do, but the downloaded update package is just a self-extracting zip file and only extracts a set of files, by default into the Program Files area. The user then has to find and run the setup routine as this is not called automatically.

Not me. I use the automatic download/install method.
